Obvara Candleholder

A unique candleholder treated with an old firing technique called Obvara, where the ceramicgoods is naturally sealed with a yeast mixture on 1000 degress, after the ceramic goods has been fired to bisque fire. The technique originates from when the potters in ancient times used the water residues from the sink to seal claygoods with the ingredient they had available. The result is a lovely brown to beige spetted surface, which makes the candleholder unique in its own way.

Maintenance: Dry cloth only. Do not wash the object under running water or with a wet cloth, as the pattern may be damaged.
